1. Who we are
Formalis is a service operated by Equilibre LLC, a company registered in North Carolina, USA (Greensboro, NC). Contact: contact@equilibrellc.com.
2. The service
Formalis is an online administrative assistant: step-by-step guides for your procedures, a document vault, an AI-powered assistant, and document generation and form pre-filling. The service is available in French and English.
3. What Formalis is not
Formalis is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Information and documents produced by the service, including by the AI assistant, are provided for informational and practical assistance purposes only. They do not replace advice from a lawyer, accountant, or licensed professional. For any complex or high-stakes situation, consult a qualified professional.
4. Your account
You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity performed from your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
5. AI assistant — limitations
The assistant relies on artificial intelligence models. Despite our efforts, generated answers and documents may contain errors or omissions. You must verify all information and forms before submitting them to any authority. Formalis does not guarantee the outcome of any administrative procedure.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Some features require a paid subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; Formalis does not store your card numbers. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled, which you can do at any time from your account — paid access remains active until the end of the current billing period. Unless required by law, amounts already billed are non-refundable.
7. Your documents and content
You retain ownership of the documents you upload and the content you create. You grant us only the technical rights needed to provide the service (storage, processing, generation). You agree to upload only documents you are entitled to use.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Formalis for: illegal or fraudulent activities (including document falsification or identity fraud), infringing third-party rights, attempting to bypass the service's security, or disrupting its operation. Violations may lead to account suspension or termination.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account in case of violation of these terms, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, Equilibre LLC shall not be liable for indirect damages, nor for the consequences of an administrative decision, application refusal, or delay resulting from use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the last twelve months.
11. Changes
We may update the service and these terms. For significant changes, we will notify you (email or in-app notice). Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA. Any dispute will be subject to the competent courts of North Carolina.
